Steve Arvey,(Beginner, Blues, Advanced Blue, Rock)
Playing Guitar for 35 Years, Steve has performed all around the world
at Festivals, Has Recorded 14 CD's and 2 Albums. Growing up in Chicago
Steve learned blues guitar styles direct from the masters like Hubert
Sumlin, Homesick James, Jimmy Rogers, Wayne Bennett and Eddie Taylor to
name a few. Steve started teaching guitar at workshops in 1999 and has
performed his Blues in The Schools Series in Australia, England, Isle of
Man, Italy and the USA. Steve has inspired many young students to be
successful as guitar players. Steve started giving private lessons in
2004 and his patented Blues Theory technique has inspired and helped
many players achieve goals and get out of a rut.
Kevin C. (Rock, Metal)
Kevin has been playing guitar for over ten years and lives and breathes the instrument and music. Specializing in Rock, Blues, and Metal, Kevin's also enjoys a broad taste in music that spans multiple continents and cultures. Firmly believing that exposure to all types of music and instruments only enhances your abilities and growth as a musician, Kevin offers a unique approach to guitar that covers beginner to advanced styles.
Kevin has played in bands and toured around Florida and the south. He has extensive live playing and studio recording experience, and has also had some of his songs featured on major radio stations. Kevin's main drives as a teacher are to share and communicate with his students as well as enrich their lives via the universal language that is music.
Christopher W (Beginner, Jazz, Rock, Electric, Acoustic)
Born and raised in Bradenton, Florida and has been playing guitar for over 10 years. Chris has a variety of guitar experience. He was the guitarist of the Manatee Community College big band while he attended school there. In 2008, Chris had the pleasure of performing both at the University of North Texas Jazz Festival and the University of North Florida Jazz Fest. Also that year, Chris was chosen to be the only guitarist at the UNF Music Symposium after a competition against other college guitarists.
Chris is very passionate about all music but has a particular love for Bluegrass and Country. His musical influences include guitarists such as Johnny Hiland, John Jorgenson, Vince Gill, Bret Mason, Freddie Green, and Ricky Skaggs. Chris has studied with some of the best guitarists in southwest Florida, such as Bob Feiberts, Marc Mannino, Steve Vandergriff, Rex Willis, and Alex Tomato. He has also had the opportunity to play with some of the best musicians in the country, including national accordion champion Ryan Langley, Gregg Allman's former percussionist Chaz Trippy, session bassist Dennis Marks, session drummer Danny Gottlieb, and Grammy Award-winner and Grand Ole Opry member Marty Stuart.
Chris is currently finishing his Bachelor’s degree in Business Management at University of South Florida and really enjoys teaching guitar. He is excited to help any student reach their goals.
Rick F. (Rock, Blues, Improv) (picture coming soon)
Rick, born in St. Petersburg, Florida, raised in Brooklyn, N.Y., has been playing Guitar for over 47 years. Early in his music career he was signed with Columbia Records. In addition, he has attended Berklee College of Music in Boston. He toured with a Boston based Show Band and eventually came back to the Florida West Coast in 1975. He has been living in Bradenton since 1975 playing with many different musicians, vocalists, and bands in the Sarasota-Bradenton area. He is a very enthusiastic, encouraging guitar teacher for any age and has a sincere passion for seeing his students flourish!
